It’s time to look back on this past year with my annual post about our year in review. Here is my post for 2024! Here is my yearly wrap up with 25 things that happened in 2025.
1. The year started off snowy.

2. Zachary took a second community college class – Economics.
3. I started taking medication for my prolactinoma, but it didn’t help with my weight issues.
4. Gabbie had the flu over her winter break.
5. Dave and I went to Cabo.

6. The Chiefs were in the Superbowl but they lost by a ton, and have since not played well at all.
7. Zachary visited Gabbie at college.
8. I continued watching dogs, including this one, who was here over Gabbie’s spring break:

9. Simon continued to have a hard time in 9th grade. Thankfully, things are looking up in 10th.
10. We went to NJ for Passover.
11. I redesigned the website for the shelter I volunteer with.
12. Zachary decided where he’ll go to college after his gap year.
13. Simon was in the high school play. Zachary did tech for it again.

14. Zachary graduated high school. Gabbie flew in for graduation even though she still had to take another final.

15. The kids went to a lot of youth group trips and spent time with their friends there and at home. During the summer, we often had the teens at our house.
16. Zachary turned 18 and we had lots of his friends over for lunch. We also went to Worlds of Fun, to continue his love for roller coasters after we went to Great Adventure in NJ.
17. We went on a family trip to Maine, Rhode Island, Boston, and NY.

18. Dave and Simon did a bike trip across Iowa and Zachary went with them to be their van driver. Simon grew another 4 inches over the year. For his 15th birthday, he went go carting.
19. Gabbie and Zachary worked at camp over the summer. Zachary went on an Israel trip, came home, and then left for Israel for the year. Gabbie went back to school for her junior year.

20. I attended a few author events and went to the Indigo Girls and Melissa Etheridge concert.
21. My mom’s health worsened and I visited my parents a few times more than usual.
22. We attended weddings for a cousin and a good friend, and including Thanksgiving, that meant more NY trips than normal.
23. I started officially working at preschool once a week.
24. Gabbie went to Israel for her winter break and got to spend time with Zachary. (She is still there now).
25. We went to Florida (and NY) for our winter break!
While it was a mostly good year for me personally, it was still a hard year for the world. Hoping for a better 2026 for all!
