After the first part of Passover, Gabbie headed back to school and the rest of us set out to visit Binghamton University. We had a campus tour and Zachary decided he’ll attend there after his gap year. You can read about that here. My sister-in-law lives 3 hours from Binghamton, but the family also has a place that is right in between, so we headed there that evening. We saw a rainbow on the way!
We had a fun time hanging out with the little cousins (my kids’ cousins’ kids).
And I had to visit my brother-in-law’s goats!
We headed back to NJ and the next day, I took the boys to Six Flags Great Adventure. I grew up going there but I think there’s a lot more roller coasters now and less regular rides. I went with them on the Runaway Train ride, but that was enough for me! After that, my job was to hold their things and to try to catch pictures of them on the rides. Simon is wearing a light maroon colored shirt, so you can kind of see him in these pictures.
On the ride above, they’re in the 5th row from the back. Below – this ride scared me and I wasn’t even riding it! It’s one track, each person in their own row, and barely anywhere to hold on. Plus, it goes upside down for so long!
The real great adventure was getting back to my sister-in-law’s house. My route kept changing and I had to drive in lots of NJ traffic. Should have just stayed on the highway…
That weekend, Gabbie came back and we spent the last days of the holiday with our friends from college and their kids. Gabbie is the same age as their oldest and they’ve known each other their whole lives. We had fun hanging out with them and their dog!
We picked up my nephew at the airport on our way back.
On our last day, Gabbie and I did some shopping and we hung out with more little cousins. But first, a meal with bread/pasta!
Gabbie left to go back to school and the rest of us had dinner at a Bukharian restaurant. It was so good!
And finally, we stopped by another niece’s house so we could see them and more little cousins!
It was so nice to see our family (and friends)!
