Welcome to the Not Just a Mom Link Up hosted by myself, Adrienne, Jen, Joanne, Lauren, and Sarah! This month, we are talking about the things we are loving lately. I thought I’d take this opportunity to share some of the things I’ve loved over this past year.
Favorite TV Show:
This year my favorite TV show was 9-1-1 and 9-1-1 Lone Star. These shows have great characters and amusing rescue situations. I always made sure to watch them both on time each week they were on.
Favorite Movie:
I did not go to the movies at all this year and I also don’t remember watching any movies at home!
Favorite Live Show:
Obviously it was Elton John.
Favorite Book:
I think my favorite book of the year was Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. I will have a favorite books post coming up because with as many books as I read, it is pretty hard to narrow it down to just one.
Favorite Activity:
Reading
Favorite Products:
I have continued to use Curlsmith hair products this year and I love how the Curl Defining Souffle works to keep my curls defined! Right now I really need a haircut though!
Favorite Foster Dog:
Sophie was an amazing foster we had back in March. We have since stopped fostering and started pet sitting instead.
Favorite Dance Moment:
When Gabbie and her tap team placed 4th in a competition.
Favorite Smart Decision:
Working with Lindsay from Simply Admissions to help Gabbie with her college applications. We are still in the process with two more applications still needing to be completed but Lindsay saved me a lot of stress. The current count is 6 applications submitted, 3 acceptances, 3 not heard back from, and 2 more to submit.
Favorite Experience I Wasn’t A Part Of:
Gabbie’s summer trip was such an amazing experience for her. I’m so glad she got to go. Now this summer Zachary will get to go!
Favorite Vacation:
This year we only traveled twice – so far. We are still going to FL over winter break. I really liked going to Niagara Falls before visiting family in NJ this past summer.
Favorite Purchase:
Even though I take photos myself, I’m glad that we purchased senior pictures done by a photographer! This is one of my favorites that she took:
