Welcome to the Share Our Lives link up hosted by myself, Adrienne, Jen, Joanne, and Sarah! We are sharing our lives this year on the second Monday of each month, and this month’s prompt is unique things about where we live.
As you probably know, I live in the Kansas City area. One unique thing about our area is that there are two cities with the same name that span two states. When you hear about Kansas City, it is probably Kansas City Missouri that is being talked about, but we live on the Kansas side!
But we live about 5 miles from the border with MO. When the Royals won the World Series in 2015, someone asked me about how I was going to the Royals parade when I live in Kansas and the parade was in MO. Well, this person was from NJ and could easily go to a sports event in NYC, so I’m not sure why they were asking, but I live much closer to MO than I lived to NY when I was in NJ.

I used to take the kids to fun places around the area and you can find all of those posts here. (Although I’ve apparently tagged some places that aren’t in the area as well.)
I like living here for a few reasons. It’s friendly, quiet, and there’s not much traffic. If you ever want to check off two states at once, you should come visit!
If you posted about where you live, you can link up with us here, and come back next month when we’re sharing vacation memories.
What is something unique about where you live?
