Happy Wednesday! Today I’m joining in for the Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce.
1. June 10th is National Herbs and Spices Day. Besides salt and pepper what herb or spice container do you reach for most often? Is there a spice you truly dislike? What’s a recent dish you made that called for more than salt and pepper?
I use Everything But The Bagel Seasoning pretty often. I also like the Green Goddess Seasoning from Trader Joe’s as well. I don’t like the spice coriander. It’s funny that the rice and meat dish I made recently actually calls for coriander and I was going to use it even though I don’t like it, but I couldn’t find it to buy.
2. It’s been said ‘variety is the spice of life’…in what way is this true for you? Elaborate.
Keeping things varied makes life more interesting. I switch up my book genres so I don’t get bored!
3. What’s something in your life that adds ‘spice’ (excitement, intensity) even if also comes with challenge or unpredictability?
Probably my kids.
4. If you could instantly master one skill or hobby, what would it be and why?
Cooking! I’m just not that good at it and it makes things difficult.
5. We’re halfway through the year…what’s one book, movie, or activity you’ve loved this year that you’d recommend to others?
Battle of the Bookshops by Ali Brady, Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez…I’ll have to make a mid year favorite books post!
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I’m about to get stressed about packing again – ugh! Hopefully the boys will be able to do it without my nagging!
Tell me your answer to any of these!
