I am partnering with Goldfish Swim School for this post. All opinions are my own.
After 9 months of swim lessons, I can confidently say that Simon is ready for summer. Last summer he was afraid to go under the water. He didn’t know how to take a breath and hold it in. For too long he depended on his puddle jumper to keep him afloat, and when he out grew it, he insisted on having a pool noodle with him in the water. After joining Goldfish Swim School, he conquered his fears, realized that he could swim, and developed confidence in himself.
He started off swimming with a floating bar and only swimming to the island in the middle of the pool.
He started learning the skills needed for backstroke and crawl stroke.
He learned to take deep breaths.
He started swimming across the whole pool – no more island in the middle.
He learned to tread water for increasing amounts of time.
He continued practicing his swim strokes.
Simon is ready for swimming this summer! How about you?
