It’s time for another Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce!
1. Did you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in some way? If so tell us how. Are you a fan of corned beef? Cabbage? The color green?
I don’t celebrate it; it’s not my holiday to celebrate. I am ok with corned beef deli slices and I will eat cabbage as well. The color green is nice enough!
2. March 22nd is National Goof Off Day…will you celebrate? Your favorite way to goof off? Last time you had a whole day to spend ‘goofing off’?
I don’t think I’ll celebrate! I don’t think I normally goof off that much either. I suppose the last time I did was last week on Monday. Dave took all three kids to St. Louis for the day and I stayed home alone and did nothing!
3. Something on your to-do list that has been there more than a month? Will this be the month you finally cross it off?
Cleaning out the living room for our renovation – and yes!
4. In your opinion, what emotion is the most beneficial? Which one is the least useful?
I’m reading a book about teenagers and emotions and it stresses that it’s not useful to deny or prevent emotions. So anxiety, for example, doesn’t feel great, but it can be helpful in the right situations. So I think most emotions are probably beneficial in some ways, as long as you can understand why you are feeling them and they are not appearing at the wrong times or all the time.
5. What was your favorite thing to do as a kid? Elaborate.
My favorite thing was the summer camp I attended. I loved everything about it and looked forward to it all year.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
There seems to be so much going on lately. This coming weekend, Gabbie has a dance competition and prom. There are 2 bat mitzvahs and 1 bar mitzvah happening (we are all going to 1 and I’m going to 1 and Simon is missing the 3rd). We don’t have dogs staying this weekend but we will starting again next week! Plus the living room project should be starting!
Tell me your answer to any of these!
