Welcome to the Share Our Lives link up hosted by myself, Adrienne, Jen, and Joanne! We are sharing our lives this year on the second Monday of each month, and this month’s prompt is our favorite current music. The truth is that I don’t listen to a lot of current music! I have always been and still am a fan of the music I grew up listening to, which is more or less considered classic rock.
Billy Joel remains my all time favorite singer.
I also really enjoy Elton John.
This summer, Simon, Dave, and I saw Paul Simon in concert. I like him, but I realized I like the Simon and Garfunkel era songs more than the just Paul Simon songs.
In my car, I have several musicians listed as favorites and when a song by them is played, my screen alerts me. I have also added some favorite songs, including:
Country Roads by John Denver
American Pie by Don McLean
Cat’s in the Cradle by Harry Chapin
Uncle John’s Band by The Grateful Dead
Call Me Al by Paul Simon (I have an alert for Paul Simon in general, but this is my favorite by him!)
