It’s almost the end of July, so it’s time for a month in review post. I can’t believe the second month of summer is almost over! There are only two full weeks left until school starts again. I think the kids have had a good summer, while it’s been pretty quiet for me.
[daily life]
Simon left for his Europe / Israel trip at the end of June and gets back tomorrow, so for all of July he’s been away. Gabbie just got back this week after spending most of the summer in Amherst. Which means Zachary was the only kid home for most of the month. However, this past week he went to NJ to see family there! As of tomorrow night, all three kids will be home for two weeks. We haven’t all been together for almost a year!
Dave and I did travel to Florida this month to help out my dad. While at home, I’ve continued going to the gym when I can, I’ve seen a few friends here and there, and I hosted two lunches at our house.

I saw my parents this month, Zachary saw his grandparents and aunt, uncles, and cousins, and Simon saw this little one:

[adventures]
Dave, Zachary, and I went to see the steam engine “Big Boy.” It’s the world’s largest operating steam engine.

We might go to the KC Current game tonight, but Gabbie and I did go vote in our state primary.

[coming up]
Next week, we’re hosting two boys from San Diego for the JCC Maccabi games. Simon needs to get ready for school and Zachary needs to get ready to go back to Israel. I’m anticipating some car sharing issues with the driving kids at home – and right when Zachary leaves, Simon is getting his license!
How was your July?
