Happy Wednesday! Today I’m joining in for the Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce.
1. What’s one thing on your to-do list that you want to get done, need to get done, or that must get done before the year ends?
I’ll be traveling before the end of the year, so I’ll need to pack. And I’ll need to get my year end blog posts ready before I leave!
2. December 17th is National Maple Syrup Day…are you a fan? Do you like maple flavor in other food items such as candy, cookies, donuts, oatmeal, hot toddies, coffee?
I don’t know if I’m a fan, but I do like the flavor.
This year they’ve named The AI Architects as their ‘person of the year’. What say you? Is this a good choice, an obvious choice, a logical choice? Who do you think should have been named person of the year?
I don’t think it’s great choice, although if they are choosing based on something that has most influenced or changed the world this year, maybe it’s the truth.
4. What’s a city, state, or country you’ve visited that you never care to visit again? Tell us why.
I don’t think I’ve ever visited somewhere that I would refuse to go back to, although I do like seeing new things! Some places are once in a lifetime visits though, and I guess for me that would be Egypt. (although technically I was there three times – once just across the border, once to a beach in the Sinai, and once to Cairo and Alexandria).
5. Next Sunday (December 21st) marks the first day of winter (or the opposite if you’re living down under). What’s one thing you love about this new season?
Getting a little closer to spring? Winter is my least favorite season!
6. Insert your own random thought here.
On Sunday, we went to the Chiefs game. It was a sad end of the season for us, but we’re happy we got to go.

We are celebrating Hanukkah this week. On Monday, Zachary called me on Facetime and showed me all the lit menorahs in the Old City in Jerusalem. It was really cool! Here’s a picture of how they display their menorahs outside there:

Tell me your answer to any of these!
