Last month, I was upset because of all my changed plans. This month worked out much more as expected! But it was a different type of month for us, since we were away for half of it.
[travels]
Our travels took us to NJ overnight and to Israel for two weeks. We had a good trip and made it home as planned as well, which we weren’t sure would work out! This past weekend, Simon traveled to Michigan for his youth group spring convention weekend.
A post about this location is to come!
[family]
We got to spent lots of time with Dave’s side of the family, both those who live in Israel and those who traveled there for our nephew’s wedding. We were also grateful to spend time with Zachary!
Dave’s mom and Simon – it’s pink because they were under a heating lamp.
[daily life]
We were in Israel for Passover, which was perfect! This was also Simon’s spring break, but he missed two days of school after break as we were traveling back. I worked on my volunteer commitments and at preschool and we watched a dog for a few days.

When Simon was away, Dave and I went to a street fair type event where the various stores in the area were open and having deals and such. I bought a t-shirt from the romance bookstore!
[coming up]
May is looking to be busy with various events and the end of the school year. Gabbie will be home for a little bit before she heads back to campus for a summer job. I will be sharing more about my Israel trip soon!
How was your April?
