April was an interesting month with barely being home during it! We spent about 10 days in NJ, celebrating Passover and seeing family and friends. Other than that, the month was kind of getting ready for the trip and getting over the trip! Here’s a look back at April.
Daily Life
The month started out with getting ready to go away. I subbed at preschool a few days after we got back. I had some meetings about the shelter website, which is still not done. I watched a dog for a weekend.
NJ Trip
I wrote about our day in NYC here and tomorrow I will share some of the other things we did on the trip!
School
There wasn’t a lot of school this month and after break, Simon’s class went on their camping trip (originally scheduled for October 2023 and postponed). He seemed to enjoy it. Now there are just a few weeks left until finals.
Zachary is almost done with high school – including today, he has 5 more days. After that he has all the senior celebrations until graduation! No finals for him, but he is taking the AP Calc test.
Activities
Zachary went on a youth group weekend earlier this month. It was for younger kids and he was an advisor.
Next week is the high school play, which Simon is in. Zachary is doing sound for that.
Health / Fitness
Things are about the same. I finally got back to the gym this week after a few weeks off.
TV
I’m just watching the regular shows I usually watch, but with seasons ending soon I’ll need some new ones to add! I was a little unhappy with some decisions some of my shows have made recently!
Reading
I had a bit of a slumpy reading month this month. I’ll be sharing the rest of the books I read this month on Friday.
Blog Update
My hosting plan was set to renew and it was going to cost a lot, so I moved to a new host. Everything seemed to transfer ok, but there was a bit of things to fix…hopefully all looks normal again! I think it’s running faster too!
