Today I’m linking up with Marsha for the September 10 on the 10th link up. This month we have questions all about September! And as always, Marsha has come up with some challenging ones!
1. Tell us about your favorite nine letter word.
So I don’t actually have a favorite 9 letter word off the top of my head…so I googled 9 letter words and picked one from the list. Paperback. That’s my favorite word that has 9 letters!
2. Tell us about a song with September in the title.
Wake Me Up When September Ends by Greenday.
3. Tell us about a famous celebration that takes place in September.
For me the best September celebration is Rosh Hashanah. It’s this weekend and we’re getting ready!
4. Tell us about your favorite pirate for International Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19th.
Captain Hook? Or maybe Smee.
5. Tell us about a pet peeve having to do with September, Fall, or Spring (for our friends in the Southern Hemisphere)
I don’t like when I get a bad feeling about starting school. I didn’t love school as a kid so going back every September wasn’t the most fun!
6. Come up with a stupid question for Stupid Question Day on September 28th.
There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers. Haha. I would say that the stupidest question to ask someone is if they are pregnant / when they are due. Unless they bring it up first, of course.
7. Tell us about a favorite September memory.
For the past few years September has been football season for Gabbie’s dance team. I was sad this past week when I saw images of the team dancing without her!
8. Tell us about your favorite celebrity whose birthday is in September.
Another one I had to google. I found a list of celebrity birthdays in September and chose one that I like – Alexis Bledel – Rory in Gilmore Girls. Her birthday is on September 16.
9. Tell us about your favorite memory with your grandparent(s) for National Grandparents Day.
When I was young, I remember going to my grandparents’ house for a few days in the summer. It must have been in between school and camp, and since my parents worked, my grandparents would watch me. They would take me to their local pool, where there was a camp for kids. I’m not sure if I was a huge fan of going to the camp, but I do remember this early memory of my grandparents! I also remember them taking me to see a play and I remember my grandpa making me cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches. This is something I must be known for remembering, because recently my nephew called me to tell me he was eating a cream cheese and cucumber sandwich!
10. Tell us about your favorite thing involving nine pieces/parts/items.
I googled this too. I came up with a baseball game with 9 innings (and 9 players)! Though I very much prefer to watch football.
Tell me your answer to any of these!
