It’s the end of February (almost) so it’s time to look back at our month in review. It’s not quite the end of the month, but here’s a look back at what we’ve been up to lately.
Daily Life
February was all about dance, the Chiefs, and doggie visitors! Plus, multiple bar mitzvah parties to attend, meals and food related events at various locations, and lots of youth group get togethers for the kids. My calendar has been full of places the kids needed to be!
Our latest dog hotel guest was Bumi, who was here for about 10 days. He is a very well trained dog and will play catch all day! After he left, Ozzie and Duncan came back for the weekend, and they will be here this weekend too.
School
The kids had a few days off this month – one day for the Superbowl Parade, and two for the boys and one for Gabbie over Presidents’ Day. Simon seemed to have a break from math work for about a week, but over Presidents’ Day he had homework and he has a test on Friday.
Activities
I shared some photos from Gabbie’s recent dance performances here. She has more coming up, of course! She had senior night for dance last night – post to come. Zachary will be traveling this weekend with one of his youth groups (he’s involved with two!). Simon has had bar mitzvah parties, a middle school event at school, and a youth group event too, so he’s been busy. And we all celebrated the Chiefs!
Health / Fitness
Intermittent fasting seems to be working at the moment. There are days when it doesn’t work out as planned, but I am doing ok with it and have lost some weight. I was hoping for a bit more by the end of the month, but I guess we’ll see.
TV
A Million Little Things is back, so I started the new season of that. I just started Poker Face, since I’d been hearing so much about it! The first episode was pretty good.
Books
I’ve been reading as usual and you can see my first half of the month reviews here. This Friday I will share my favorites of the month so far.
Blog
In case you missed it, this month I posted about the rest of our Florida trip, my progress on the PopSugar Reading Challenge, our house rules, and my favorite book heroines.
Coming Up
I need to get prepared for Purim, and soon it will be Passover! Zachary has another trip next weekend, Gabbie has dance competition season starting, and Simon is working on preparing for his bar mitzvah!
How was your February?
