I mentioned last month that we’ve been “borrowing” dogs and right now we have Ozzie and his brother Duncan staying with us. They are so adorable. Dog sitting gives us the chance to have dogs around that aren’t ours and after the volatility of having foster dogs, this has been a better alternative for us.
Ozzie is a puppy and Duncan is an old man, so it was very cute to see them snuggling together!

Being that Simon and Zachary already got their Hanukkah presents (new phones), I don’t really have much in the way of gifts to think about! Gabbie wanted Taylor Swift tickets for Hanukkah but that didn’t work out…she does have a list of things she wants but I think maybe giving her money and letting her get what she wants may be easier!
In the past, I’ve written posts about giftable books and I think I may do that again next week, so stay tuned!

I’m wrapping up this year, at least in my mind! I’ve started working on wrapping up my favorite books of the year, as well as thinking about some year end blog posts I may write.

I’m hoping to get some relief from the back pain I’ve been having. It’s weird to call it back pain when the worst of it is in my leg – I believe it’s sciatic nerve pain, which radiates down my thigh and to my calf as well. I thought it was getting better on Monday, but Tuesday morning was pretty bad again.

Dave and I attended the Jewish Federation’s annual meeting in which our friend was awarded Educator of the Year. He teaches Jewish Studies and has both Simon and Zachary and we agree he’s a great teacher!
