For today’s Random Friday Things post I have some random things to share – that’s why it’s called Random Things Friday! – including a Royals game and a huge cheese board.

On Labor Day we went to a Royals game. The Royals have been pretty bad lately so the stands were pretty empty! It wasn’t a bad game – it stayed pretty close and went into extra innings – but the Royals lost.

We are thrilled that it’s football season because we do have a mostly good football team! Go Chiefs!

We got new phones. This is the first time that I’ve gotten a newly released iPhone! Zachary and I had iPhone XRs and had been wanting newer versions. We got a trade-in deal which made the 14 pro worthwhile! And Simon did not have a phone with a line previously, so he was about to get a 13 mini for free by adding a line. We were waiting till Hanukkah but his WiFi enabled phone stopped working – the battery crashed. So it was good timing with the new phone deals. My phone is an early birthday present and the boys are for Hanukkah. I decided to make a new phone background for myself and it’s pretty cute!

I also got new running shoes. Mine were falling apart on the inside and then I saw a deal for Saucony shoes. I have previously only used Asics! These are the Endorphin Shift 2 and I hope they are good. I finally got to try them out on Thursday and they felt good (maybe a little tight on my messed up toe but I think it will adjust), my calves hurt less, and it could have been the weather, but I also ran faster! The price has gone back up, sadly!

Rosh Hashanah starts on Sunday night. I won’t be around on Monday or Tuesday due to celebrating! On Wednesday night, Gabbie and I went to a pre-Rosh Hashanah challah bake. They had the best giant cheese board! Check it out!
Plus here is one of my challahs before it was baked. It looked cute. My second one looked like a lump!
