Half of 2025 is over. That means it’s time for a mid year reading update. Between the beginning of January and the end of June, I read 140 books – which is the exact same amount that I read in that time period last year!
Here are some of my stats so far this year:
I read the most books per month in March, with a record 30 books read.
I generally read 21-22 books per month.
I read mostly contemporary fiction, with my second highest genre being rom coms.
Historical Fiction and Thrillers are my next two most often read genres.
Most of the books I read are paperback, followed by hardcover and audio.
Most of the books I read are adult books, with much less in Middle Grade and YA.
90 % of the books I’ve read have been by female authors.
20 % have been by Jewish authors or had Jewish representation.
22% have been backlist books.
For print books, 64 % were finished review copies and 23 % were advanced review copies.
For audio books, 69% were from the library.
I read 5 books that were under 200 pages and 2 that were over 500 pages.
