Gabbie’s Dance Recital 2019

This Sunday was Gabbie’s dance recital and the culmination of her 10th year of dance! She has grown along with the dance school. We now have two recitals because there are so many classes. Everyone older than 1st grade dances in both shows. The youngest dancers and the Competition Team dances are divided between the two shows. Gabbie’s solo and duet were in the first show, so we attended that show. During that show, I decided to stay for the second show as well. This way I got to see the dances twice and take more photos! For the first show, I was a little close up so I had some trouble getting the photos I wanted. For the second, I stood up on the side when Gabbie’s classes danced.

Three Things Tuesday – Friendships

Time for another update in three points each. In posts like these, you get an update on each child (or family member) in three bullet points per person. I like to write them about once per month and to share something new about each of my kids! This month, I was inspired by the Mom Hour Podcast Episode 207, in which the hosts talked about each of their children and their friendship styles, strengths, and struggles. My kids and their friendships is definitely something I think about, so I thought it would be perfect to write about today.

Do you ever go through Instagram and follow people in the hopes that they might follow you back? Or do you look at your new followers and decide whether to follow them back? I have done both of these things and have realized that there are certain accounts I don’t choose to follow. Here are some of the reasons.

What Is Your Personality Type?

Since I started listening to podcasts, I have heard so much about personality types, mainly the Enneagram test. Both the Sorta Awesome Podcast and the Mom Hour Podcast often reference their Enneagram types, which of course made me curious enough to seek out and discover my own personality type.
