This Sunday was Gabbie’s dance recital and the culmination of her 10th year of dance! She has grown along with the dance school. We now have two recitals because there are so many classes. Everyone older than 1st grade dances in both shows. The youngest dancers and the Competition Team dances are divided between the two shows. Gabbie’s solo and duet were in the first show, so we attended that show. During that show, I decided to stay for the second show as well. This way I got to see the dances twice and take more photos! For the first show, I was a little close up so I had some trouble getting the photos I wanted. For the second, I stood up on the side when Gabbie’s classes danced.
When we first got to the recital, we recreated Gabbie’s first ever pre-recital picture from when she was 4!
Gabbie’s first dance was her duet, but I only got one photo of it, with just her! I’m also going to share the professional photos of each class.
Next up was ballet. The non-competition dances were all Disney themed songs. The ballet song was a medley of Disney tunes. The pictures from the front are from the first show and from the side are from the second show, but I’m trying to intersperse the photos throughout so that you can see them in a better order.
Next up was Gabbie’s solo.
The next dance was Lyrical, which was to Once Upon A Dream from Maleficent.
Up last was Gabbie’s tap dance, which was to Married Life from Up. They decided to dress as seniors for this dance, which was interesting.
Because this dance was last, Gabbie was wearing this wonderful outfit for the finale, in which she helped walk out one of the younger kid classes and got her 10 year trophy!
