Happy Wednesday! Today I’m joining in for the Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce.
1. Are you more life of the party or more party pooper? If your answer is somewhere in the middle which side of the middle do you lean towards more? Birthday party, beach party, cocktail party, dinner party, charity fundraiser, surprise party, costume party, garden party, Christmas party, reunion...what’s your favorite kind of party?
I’d say I’m more of a party pooper. I find it hard to socialize at large parties and usually want to leave early. I guess my favorite type are smaller parties where conversation isn’t overwhelming, and especially if they have good food.
2. Cheese, wine, and balsamic vinegar all improve with age. What would you personally add to the list?
Apparently, well-being improves with age, as does self-confidence.
3. How do you feel about your birthday? How do you want to be celebrated? Or don’t you?
I feel like it’s my day and I do want it to be acknowledged.
4. What remarkable feat, interesting piece of trivia, or historical event occurred on your birth day and month? Not necessarily your same birth year, just the same date/month.
I share my birthday with the US Marines, Rutgers University, and Sesame Street.
5. Share two good things about your life right now.
I’m happy that my older kids are both happy and thriving. Even though I miss them, it’s nice having only one kid to take care of on a daily basis at the moment.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
When I was sharing about random things on Friday, I left out a more fun story. After I liked a post from Zachary’s school, someone messaged me and asked if my son is there, because hers is as well – and we had known each other back when our sons were 2! We lived in the same town and apparently attended the same play groups, although I didn’t remember her at first. She has a different last name and a different Facebook account, so it took me a bit to place her. As it turns out, we had a few similar friends – and a mutual friend who had ended her friendship with both of us! So we had a good amount to catch up on! Zachary also messaged me asking if I knew a different family that live in that same town, and I do – he had just met the daughter of a woman I was friendly with back then, so I had to quickly message her and tell her our kids met each other 15 years later! I guess it’s a small world after all.
Tell me your answer to any of these!
