Well, March was not at all what I expected it to be and because of that, I’ve been in a bit of a funk (and heightened anxiety) all month. Here’s a look back at February.
[changed plans]
I was supposed to travel to Israel the first week of the month (for my nephew’s wedding), but on the last day of February, the US decided to attack Iran, and Iran’s retaliation is to send missiles to Israel. So while Zachary seems fine and is living his life, there are still missiles and flights are very few – originally I was supposed to be there all month while Dave and Simon came back home and returned this coming week, so now we all have tickets this coming week, but I’d be very surprised if we make it there.
Gabbie was also dealing with changed plans, as she was supposed to also be in Israel at the beginning of March and then she was supposed to go to Hawaii for spring break. Because of the storms in Hawaii, her trip was canceled and she went to Puerto Rico instead. I think she had a good trip, but was still disappointed.
Because I was home when I wasn’t supposed to be, I was able to go to Florida and help out my dad, who hurt himself and was unable to get around. He also was having a hard time taking care of my mom. Dave and I both went and we helped as we could and my mom now moved to a memory care place. My dad still needs to use a walker to get around but hopefully he’ll recover.

[daily life]
Even with all of that, life continued with the regular things and school for Simon. He also went on his trip to the south, so Dave and I were empty nesters for a week.
I only watched one dog this month:

We celebrated Purim:

Dave brought me to a bourbon tasting but I don’t like bourbon so I didn’t really taste it.

[adventures]
Dave and I went downtown and saw these life sized Royals bobbleheads.

[things that made me smile]
There were some nice things this month too.
The shelter named a dog after me!

Florida views:

My friend took a picture of me and I don’t hate how I look in it:

The chicks hatched at preschool:

Zachary got together with his cousins, and my in-laws made it there too.

[coming up]
I wish I knew! We will either be in Israel or NJ for Passover. My blog schedule will be a bit off due to the holiday, but I’ll post when I can!
Hope you all had a great March!
