Happy Wednesday! Today I’m joining in for the Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce.
1. August is National Golf month…do you play? Do you enjoy following golf? Have you ever been to a professional tournament?
No, I don’t follow or play golf at all.
2. Astronaut Jim Lovell of Apollo 13 fame passed away this past Thursday. Are you interested in outer space and what’s happening today in terms of space exploration? If space travel became common in your lifetime would you go? How do you personally relate to the idea of exploring something vast and mysterious…does the idea excite you, intimidate you, or something else?
I am not interested in the idea of going to space because I know it would make me sick. I might consider it if I knew I wouldn’t throw up or get nauseous, but I’m sure I’d be nervous in general too!
3. Describe your communication style in three words.
I tend to communicate better in writing. According to the web, the four main styles are passive, aggressive, passive-aggressive, and assertive. If I had to guess, I’d say I’m more passive.
4. Do you have a favorite cookbook? A favorite celebrity chef? Do you watch any cooking shows on TV?
The cookbook I use the most is a salad cookbook from the school my nieces and nephews went to. Recently I borrowed a cookbook from the library called How To Cook Everything Fast. I got some recipes from it which turned out ok.
5. As a child did you have any back to school traditions? If so, did you carry on those same traditions with your own children? Do you have any back to school traditions you’ve started on your own?
I don’t remember any as a child. As a parent, we take back to school pictures on the first day of school.

Speaking of back to school, I need to get over the fact that every other school in our area starts this week and ours doesn’t start till next week! It’s weird. Ugh, I still need to get Simon to clean out his backpack from last school year (and write that paper…).
