It feels weird that it’s the end of March. In some ways this was a longer month and in some it went by fast. In any case, it’s time to look back at our month in review. Here’s a look back at what we’ve been up to lately.
Daily Life
March was a busy month of school and dance competitions. Gabbie had spring break and she worked. Dave and the kids went to St. Louis. We had some doggie residents. We started the renovation in our living room.
School
Third quarter ended and I posted an update here. For fourth quarter Simon is taking technology instead of theater because he isn’t able to be at the scheduled middle school play. Zachary’s play will be at the beginning of May, and so will Gabbie’s school dance show. The boys have two weeks off for Passover / spring break starting Monday. Gabbie has missed so many days of school that now all of her absences are marked as unexcused, but her principal told me it doesn’t matter and she’s in good standing. Still annoying though!
Activities
Gabbie had two dance competitions this month. Two of her group dances got first place each time. The other got 5th both times. Gabbie also went to prom last Saturday night.
We have attended a bris and many bar/bat mitzvahs this month. There have been youth group events too. So everyone is pretty much keeping busy.
Health / Fitness
I’m stalled on my weight loss again but I’m not gaining at least. I guess I need to figure something else out to lose more. My back has been hurting again, but luckily not as badly as last time. I am still walking and taking barre class. Right now I have a small cold so I don’t feel like doing much.
Simon had some sort of stomach bug last week so he missed some school. Zachary has a cold now as well.
TV
Each week I want to watch 9-1-1, 9-1-1 Lone Star, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and A Million Little Things. Now I found out Good Trouble is back on and I love that show so I need to catch up. I’m also still making my way through the Poker Face episodes. But if I’m out at night I don’t watch anything and now I’m a bit behind on everything.
Books
I’ve been reading as usual and you can see my first half of the month reviews here. Tomorrow I will share my favorites of the month so far, a day earlier than usual because I want to share something else on Friday!
Blog
In case you missed it, this month I posted about telephones, a weekend day in the life, graduation invitations, book journals, and in my random update I shared an author event I attended.
Coming Up
After Passover, the rest of the school year flies by with tons of end of the year events. I know I keep saying this, but soon we’ll be sure where Gabbie will go to college next year! She has two more dance competitions and recital coming up too.
How was your March?
