View PostThe second National Park that we visited on our trip was Zion (the first being the Grand Canyon). Located in southwest Utah, Zion is a canyon with steep, rocky mountains, a river, and rocks that seep water and grow plants. One thing to know about Zion is that in the summer, the parking lots fill up, so you need to get there early. You also need to take a shuttle to get to various stops around the park. Hopping on and off the shuttle wasn’t difficult and we felt we got to see everything, although we did not do any difficult hiking. As we also experienced last year in Yellowstone, there is no cell phone signal throughout most of the park.
View PostWhen I heard the Blue Angels would be in Kansas City again for the air show, I added it to our calendar right away! Dave, Simon, and I headed downtown to watch the show. We decided not to go to the show itself, but to watch from somewhere nearby. Bad Mommy / Wife forgot to bring sunscreen, so standing on the bridge was not going to work. We ended up following some people into an apartment building and watching from the top of their parking deck. The Blue Angels flew right above us and it was really fun to see!

View PostTime for another update in three points each. In posts like these, you get an update on each child (or family member) in three bullet points per person. I like to write them about once per month and to share something new about each of my kids! This month, I decided to focus the three things for each of my kids around camp. I actually haven’t seen Gabbie or Zachary this month because they both left for camp at the end of June!
