I love finding kitchen appliances that can make meal preparation easier and the Cook’s Companion 6-in-1 Digital Wonder Pot does just that! With a digital touch screen that makes operation simple, you can easily set up a meal to cook and have it ready when you want to eat it.
The Cook’s Companion 500 Watt 3.2 Quart Ceramic Nonstick 6-in-1 Digital Wonder Pot is a perfect capacity in which to make smaller meals. It has easy-to-use programmable digital controls, including those for rice, soup, stew, stir-fry, baking, and steaming. It also has a warm setting to keep food warm until you are ready to eat. It has easy cleanup and the Whitford Fusion ceramic nonstick inner cooking pot makes for quick release of food. It fits on the countertop without taking up too much room. The Wonder Pot comes with accessories such as a steam tray, rice measuring cup, and a spatula. Because it is part rice-cooker, part steam cooker, and makes soup and stews with the push of a button, it is obvious why it is known as a Wonder Pot!
I decided to use the Wonder Pot to make a vegetable soup for lunch for Dave and myself. First, you use oil and sautée the onions inside the pot. We also put in garlic with the onions. You can do this using the soup option, which automatically programs for an hour and a half.
After about 5 minutes, you can add the rest of the ingredients.
We added broccoli, zucchini, carrots, tomatoes, and spices, plus water and soup mix to fill the pot. Then just let the soup option continue to cook your soup! You can also adjust the time that the Wonder Pot sets automatically if you want it to cook for more or less time.
When the soup timer finished, it switches to warm mode to keep the food warm until you are ready to eat!
We also put together a beef stew for tonight’s dinner.
First we browned stew meat and onions.
Then we added carrots, celery, potatoes, and a can of diced tomatoes. Pushed the stew button and left the house!

I love the fact that the Wonder Pot has settings to cook things and that after I add the ingredients, it requires very little thought from me. I have a crock pot, but it is pretty big, so it’s nice that the Wonder Pot is meant for smaller meals. We will definitely be trying it out as a rice cooker next – that’s one kitchen appliance that I don’t have!
