Happy Wednesday! Today I’m joining in for the Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce.
1. April 22nd is Earth Day…what’s the most ‘out of this world’ place on earth you’ve ever visited? Tell us something about it.
One of the most amazing places I’ve seen is Bryce National Park in Utah. I think the earth there is so beautiful.
2. A favorite quote, verse, or song lyric with the word earth in it?
I just spent way too long googling this…and I came up with a song I like, though it’s not exactly about Earth!
“She packed my bags last night, pre-flight
Zero hour: 9:00 AM
And I’m gonna be high as a kite by then
I miss the Earth so much, I miss my wife
It’s lonely out in space
On such a timeless flight”
– Rocket Man
3. What’s the most trivial thing about which you have a strong opinion?
This is hard, because I have a lot of stupid strong opinions! One is that if you’re walking, you shouldn’t walk directly into a person approaching you, but you should politely step around them.
4. What’s your most commonly used kitchen utensil or tool? What’s the last thing you made using that tool?
Probably my spatula, which I most recently (and usually) used for eggs.
5. Marilyn (Memphis Bridges) gave me a great book of 3000 questions, and I’m going to try to use one in our Hodgepodge every week. Here is today’s –
What is your greatest extravagance?
I don’t usually spend a lot on things. I’m not much of a shoe or a bag person, and I tend to wear mainly the same jewelry repeatedly. So I can’t actually think of my greatest extravagance!
6. Insert your own random thought here.
The Billy Joel channel is back on Sirius XM, which makes me happy. But the air conditioning isn’t working in my van, which is where I have access to Sirius XM! I want a new car. I’m thinking an SUV. Suggestions?
Tell me your answer to any of these!
