It’s almost the end of January so it’s time for my monthly look back. I am not sure I’m happy with the format I’ve been using on these monthly posts, but I don’t have a better idea for them!
[daily life]
We returned home from Florida and NY and Simon went back to school for the week between break and second semester. He had fun building a boat.

I did my regular things – preschool, dog care, and reading!
Gabbie came home for 10 days and it was great to have her here.

Now, she’s off to start second semester of junior year.

[adventures]
Dave, Simon, and I visited a museum that the kids and I had been to a few times when they were little. They had a car exhibit we wanted to see. It was cars from movies. Simon tried to open all the doors.

[appointments]
We had so many appointments this month it seems! I went to the doctor and I have the dentist later this week. Simon went to the dentist for sealants and he had a haircut. Gabbie had a dentist appointment and an eye doctor appointment, and she got a haircut too. Zachary had an ingrown toenail so he needed to get that fixed up. The insurance tried to scam us and sent us a note about how much it would cost. Dave wrote them back and said he wanted to see the terms because he thought it should be covered, and sure enough it was. If we hadn’t questioned it we would have been out the money!
[weather]
We got the winter storm – probably about 5 inches of snow and temperatures below 0. I stayed inside. It was on the weekend, so no snow days, just a delayed start on Monday.
[coming up]
I’m going to see Rent on Saturday night and I’m so excited! Not sure what I have going on in February other than more dog visitors!
How was your January?
