We had some much nicer weather for a few days and it was really appreciated with walking outside! It’s supposed to get hot again, I think. But it’s been nice while it’s lasted.

It’s great that I actually have some fun events to look forward to – this Friday I’m going to an author event with Ali Brady. On Sunday, a friend from my home town is coming to visit. Later this month, I’m going to an Indigo Girls concert.

With the summer months winding down, my fall schedule for dog watching is not too full yet. I do have some of September booked already though!

I ordered Zachary a duffel bag from Walmart, but it ended up being too small, so I ordered a different one from Amazon. Hopefully this one will work! I also have to buy him more pants!
[gearing up for]
Back to school is coming…Simon has one full week of break left now. And he still needs to finish reading his summer reading and write a paper…but the main problem is that we need to shift from summer mode back into school mode!
