Half of 2026 is over. That means it’s time for a mid year reading update. Between the beginning of January and the end of June, I read 138 books – which is two less books than I read in that time period last year (and the year before).
Here are some of my stats so far this year:
I read the most books in a month in both January and May, with 28 books read.
I read the least amount in a month in April, with 16 books read.
I generally read 21-22 books per month.
My most read genre so far has been rom coms, followed closely by contemporary fiction.
Thrillers and Non Fiction are my next two most often read genres.
Most of the books I read are paperback, followed by hardcover and audio.
Most of the books I read are adult books, with much less in Middle Grade and YA.
90 % of the books I’ve read have been by female authors.
22 % have been by Jewish authors or had Jewish representation.
40% have been backlist books.
For print books, 70 % were finished review copies and 18 % were advanced review copies.
For audio books, 96% were from the library.
I read 13 books that were under 200 pages and 10 that were over 400 pages.

January: Before I Forget by Tory Henwood Hoen
February: This Book Made Me Think of You by Libby Page and When The Cranes Fly South by Lisa Ridzen
