For today’s random Friday post, I have some updates on things I’ve mentioned before, plus some fun nature pictures to share.

I had mentioned being worried about parent-teacher conferences for Simon. They went surprisingly well! He has been trying hard and the teachers can tell. I’m proud of him and hope he keeps it up.

I’m not really quitting blogging, but if you use Feedly, I’m still not showing up as having updated my blog.

It was looking like fall outside, so I took this picture:

The Northern Lights made an appearance so I got some photos! The first is from down the street, when we were taking a walk and they were first appearing. The others are later on and in my yard.

Zachary’s good friend (and our neighbor) came to Israel for his brother’s wedding. Zachary got to see him and his family, plus all the Kansas kids who are in Israel went to the wedding. I got this picture from the mom (my friend):

Rainy season in Israel started and my nephew sent a video of it pouring rain. I messaged Zachary asking if he’d still be walking to his cousin’s house that evening, and he messaged back that the rain stopped and he sent this amazing photo:
He took it from his building’s balcony and I’ve been showing it to everyone!

Finally, just a Facebook memory from when Simon was 6. He’s still hilarious, but I don’t post on Facebook much anymore so I depend on these flashbacks for memories of his jokes.
