It’s about to be the end of March, so it’s time for my month in review. It feels like it was another long month. Everyone in my family except for me traveled to various places this month. I just stayed home. Here’s a look back at March.
Daily Life
I did some subbing days and I got a lot of reading done. I spent some time with Gabbie when she was home for spring break. The boys went to a youth group weekend in Chicago, and the following weekend, all three kids were home! We watched a new dog and he did pretty well with us. We celebrated Purim.
We celebrated Gabbie’s birthday on the Jewish calendar, since she’ll be at school for her birthday.
School
We had another upsetting situation in which Simon failed to complete an assignment. His teacher would not let him turn it in late, because he was already supposed to turn it in late and just didn’t do it. I don’t know why he thinks he can make his own rules. I also don’t know how I’m supposed to get him to do what he’s supposed to do!
Zachary is all signed up for his gap year program and he should make his college choice official in a few weeks. His class must be happy because the school decided they could wear the maroon graduation gowns that some of the kids were arguing for.
Our school is having parent meetings to discuss the Jewish studies program and if it needs adjusting. I don’t think it does. And at the same time, the program that supports the more religious kids is being cut from Gabbie’s Jewish group on campus. So that is something we are upset about and hope will be rectified.
Activities
We went to the school dinner this weekend. We weren’t going to go but got last minute tickets. It was a pretty nice event. Besides being away at a youth group weekend, the boys have weekly youth group get togethers and when Gabbie was home, she went with them too. They also had a spring formal, but they didn’t go – but Gabbie did! One of her best friends is in Zachary’s class and invited her.
Health / Fitness
Simon has a cold. Zachary has had another never ending cough. Whenever he gets a cough it seems to last months. My health is about the same.
TV
I am loving The Pitt and I started watching Paradise, which is really interesting!
Reading
I’ve read a lot this month! I have a good amount of 5 star books to share this week. And then next week I’ll have the rest of my month in reading. The first half of the month can be found here. I’m trying to keep up with updating my reviews on Goodreads too!
Coming Up
We’re heading to NJ for Passover and besides packing and getting there, I’m excited! Zachary wants to go to Great Adventure while we’re there, which I’m not too excited about!
How was your March?
