Happy Wednesday! Hope everyone is having a good week so far. Today I’m joining in for Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce.
1. What’s a winter memory you treasure (can be from any winter in your lifetime)?
When I think of winter, I think of being super cold, snowed in, missing things due to icy roads…so not much good. One thing that makes me laugh though is when the kids built these snow people and named them Tall Mike and Roberta. This was four years ago!
2. Tell us about the last time or a recent time you were caught up in red tape. Does it send your frustration level off the charts or is it something you’ve come to expect when dealing with any sort of bureaucracy?
I hate red tape but I can’t remember the last time I had to deal with any!
3. Do you eat/like fish? Do you cook fish at home? What’s your favorite fish dish? Ever been ice fishing?
I do eat fish. I made salmon recently but it didn’t come out great. My favorite dish with fish is sushi or poke! No, I’ve never been ice fishing. I’ve been real fishing but I don’t do it anymore. I last went when I was around 12, and then I decided I hated it!
4. Did you watch any of the US President’s Inauguration coverage on Monday, Jan 20? On a scale of 1-10 (with 1 being not at all and 10 being very very) how interested are you in politics in general? Do you follow / keep up with / get involved with local politics?
No, I didn’t watch any of it, although I saw various clips on social media. I’d say I’m very interested in politics, and I think it’s a privilege to be able to not care at all. I am aware of local politics though I’m not involved in them.
5. What’s the coziest thing you own and what makes it so?
A very furry pullover that I acquired recently is probably my coziest item. It’s warm and feels cuddly.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
This week, I’m trying to let go of my indignation at people who cared more about TikTok than hostages being freed, and the new rectangles on Instagram that make my older photos look distorted.
Tell me your answer to any of these!
