Last week, I left off with us saying goodbye to family and heading to the beach for the last night of our trip and New Year’s Eve. We went to Pomona Beach and after we checked into the hotel, we walked out on the pier there.
The pier is a popular hangout for fisherman, and because of that, it is full of pelicans!
We walked back and went on the beach for a little bit.
We also went to the hotel pool and then we caught sunset.
Back to the pier for a few more sunset views.
We lit our menorah on the hotel balcony.
Dave and Zachary went out again for New Year’s Eve, while Gabbie and Simon watched fireworks on the balcony. I fell asleep. Somehow none of the hotel keys worked after midnight so I had to let Dave and Zachary back in!
In the morning, Gabbie woke me up so we could go watch the sun rise on the new year.
Another set of sunrise pictures from my phone:
Before we went to the airport, we picked up food for lunch and dinner and we met up with my nephew, who had flown in to visit the grandparents that morning.
And then we headed home. Overall, it was another good winter break spent in Florida.
