Happy Wednesday everyone! Today I’m joining in for Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce.
1. Thursday is National Walk To A Park Day. I know these celebratory days are mostly made up, but some are fun to think about. Do you live close enough to a park to walk to one on Thursday? Will you? The most famous park in the world is Central Park located in NYC. Have you ever been to Central Park? What did you think? If you haven’t been is this a place you’d like to see?
Yes, there is a small park at the end of my block. Lately my walks have taken me in the opposite direction, but when I used to walk farther, I often went that way!
I have been to Central Park too, although there are parts I haven’t seen. Here is a photo from last Thanksgiving when we walked in the park for a moment:
2. Something you’ve done recently that turned out to be a ‘walk in the park’?
A walk in the park means something easy, right? I really can’t think of anything!
3. Can you parallel park? Do you have to do this often where you live?
I never learned how. I failed that portion of my license test. I don’t think it’s even part of the test here, although both my driving kids learned how to do it using youtube.
4. The colors of fall…red, brown, russet, golden bronze, golden yellow, purplish red, light tan, crimson, orange red, and scarlet. Are these colors you like to wear? Is this your season in terms of color? What about your home? Would we see these tones in your home decorating?
I love fall colors. I think technically I’m a winter, but I do wear fall colors. As for my home, my dining room is painted a dark red and I love that as well.
5. What part of history do you find most interesting? Elaborate.
I’m drawn to many times in history. I think the most interesting for me are more recent times, like the 60s. Did you know the 90s are considered history now?
6. Insert your own random thought here.
On Monday night, the Chiefs game was on, and the Royals were playing game 2 of their series against the Yankees, so we had a set up where we could watch both. It was somewhat distracting and I’d find myself concentrating on a commercial on one screen when I should have been watching the game on the other! But both teams won, so that was exciting!
Tell me your answer to any of these!
