Our Nephew's Wedding

This past weekend, we traveled to NJ to celebrate our nephew’s wedding. He is the youngest of Dave’s sister and brother-in-law’s five kids. All of the cousins were there to celebrate him and his new wife!

Including the three who live in Israel – this nephew got lots of attention!

Celebrations began on Friday with a get together at my sister-in-law’s house. Here are two of my great-nephews practicing plate spinning.

My little great-nephew – not the youngest overall but the smallest! I held the youngest as well, but there are no pictures of that.

We were ready for Shabbat with the family!

The wedding was on Sunday and we stayed with our friends who live in the area. We got ready for the wedding at their house.

We arrived during the photos so we took some behind the scenes shots. I did not take all of the pictures – some are from Gabbie, some are from others that were shared with the family later!

This is my sister-in-law’s family – four married kids and all of their kids, plus my in-laws. The new bride isn’t in the picture because it was taken before the ceremony and the tradition not to see each other until then.

A Jewish wedding is full of traditions and this is the part where the groom comes to see the bride just before the ceremony.

I didn’t take this one but I love it.

Anything different can be attributed to Jewish wedding customs!

We made an effort to take a photo of all of the cousins together. Since we moved to Kansas and Dave’s sister moved to Israel, they have only all been all together once before this! My one nephew’s wife didn’t come, so we didn’t have spouses in the photo – just my in-laws’ grandkids – besides for the new bride! And there is one great-granddaughter who got in there too.
