It’s the last day of July, so it’s time to take a look back at this month in review. It was a whole month of my being unable to do much, with my ankle in a cast for three weeks and then a boot for the rest of the month. Hopefully by next month’s recap I’ll be back to walking…we’ll see! Here’s a look back at July.
Daily Life
I have to say I did a lot of nothing. It was a big deal when I got out of the house. Getting my cast off was a highlight of the month, although the new boot and crutches situation isn’t easy either. It’s been quite a summer, really.
And I took zero photos (that I haven’t already shared). So sorry this is boring.
School
Here’s a story for you. At least a month ago, schedules were posted and we saw that Zachary was not assigned to an English class. Just this week, the principal emailed us and said that there are not enough students signed up for on level English (the rest are taking AP, I guess) and Zachary should take English at the community college. Well, most of the good times are already full there, which may not have been the case if they let us know a month ago. Luckily the school did agree to cover the cost of the class, since we are already paying for school!
Activities
Gabbie and Zachary are working and staying busy with that. Simon is doing some volunteering! It’s good for him, because otherwise he’d be playing his computer game non stop.
Health / Fitness
I still have not been able to weigh myself and I’m pretty sure I don’t want to. It’s not going to be good! I am going to PT and doing ankle exercises to work on strength. Otherwise there isn’t much fitness happening at this point.
TV
I’ve been watching Presumed Innocent, which is really good, but it’s now been put on hold for the Olympics!
Reading
I’ve read a good amount this month while sitting around, but I did also find myself distracted a lot. You can see the first half of my reading month here and my 5 star reads here. I’ll post the rest of my July reads on Friday.
Coming Up
We may have family visiting soon, Dave and I are going with Gabbie to move back to school, and the boys will go back to school as well. August is a busy one.
How was your July?
