It’s the end of the month so it’s time to look back at this month in review. We were in Israel for the first 2.5 weeks of the month and I broke my ankle on May 31, so it’s definitely been an interesting one.
Daily Life
We stayed at my sister-in-law’s house for most of the month, besides for the days we spent at a hotel. When we got back home, we tried to readjust to the time zone (falling asleep at 8:30 and waking up at 5:30 wasn’t my ideal!) and Gabbie and Zachary started their summer jobs.
I was supposed to watch dogs after our trip but I had to cancel on a few. I do have two on the schedule still because I think I can still take care of them!
Birthdays
We celebrated Zachary’s 17th birthday while we were away. I think he had a good time!
School
No school this month! The kids have summer reading to do but no essays this time – phew. Simon started his book and then abandoned it when we left for the trip.
Activities
The kids took me (in my wheelchair) to see Inside Out 2. It was pretty cute.
The boys were happy to reunite with their friends and they went swimming together on Monday.
Health / Fitness
Well…fitness is somewhat off the table for now. I’ve probably gained so much weight. I wasn’t eating well on our trip either – so many carbs! At least my cold / allergies have cleared up…
I had surgery on my ankle in Israel and I saw the orthopedist here this week. I got a new cast – this one is fiberglass so it weighs less, which is good. I got it in pink! I have to have it on another 3.5 weeks – but my appointment to get it off is in 4 weeks. And then I get a boot for another week. So it’s a process.
In the ER
TV
Criminal Minds is back and I watched the first episode already. I will probably need some new shows to watch over the summer!
Reading
I feel like I’m behind on reading but that’s just because I had so many new releases on my pile this month. I maybe read a little less than normal for me! I shared the first half of my monthly reading here and will share my 5 star reads on Friday.
Coming Up
Come back tomorrow to start reading about our trip!
How was your June?
