It’s the end of the month so it’s time for my month in review post. June was spent recovering from May, on vacation, and recovering from vacation! Here’s a look back at June!
Daily Life
We spent the first week of the month at home and then we headed west for our trip to Oregon and northern California. I’ve started recapping the trip and will have more up tomorrow. Since we’ve been home I’ve been busy taking care of dogs, getting Zachary ready for his summer trip, and thinking about packing for college. I’ve also done a bit more decluttering in the kitchen and in Gabbie’s room. Gabbie is working at the same camp she has worked at for the past few years. This week, Dave went back to CA on a work trip.
Celebrations
We celebrated Zachary’s birthday this month.
School
Gabbie connected with a fellow incoming freshman and they have arranged to be roommates. She had an online orientation and has her advising appointment to choose classes this week.
Activities
Gabbie is taking summer dance classes and the boys are just hanging around for now. Simon has helped with dog care and came with me when I took puppies to puppy yoga. He is also occupying himself with 3D printing.
Health / Fitness
Gabbie got a stomach bug after our trip. Zachary got another cold. We have been busy with appointments and I haven’t been to the gym much this month! I do get out and walk most days. My weight is back up and intermittent fasting isn’t helping anymore, so I’m not sure what to do next.
TV
I caught up with Chicago Fire and Chicago Med this month. I thought the Chicago Med finale was unreasonably cheesy. My next show to catch up on is Good Trouble.
Reading
I’ve read a good amount this month with some faster and lighter reads. My second half book review is going to be long because I haven’t had that many favorites to share on Friday! My first half of the month reviews are here.
Coming Up
We got the itinerary for Zachary’s trip and it looks exciting. Some of it is similar to what Gabbie did last year and some is new. We have two big things to plan for in August – Simon’s bar mitzvah and Gabbie leaving – so I’ll be working on those things in July! I’m also booked up with dog sitting for the next week and a half or so!
