I was going to share my living room renovation today but I ran out of time to write the post, so it’s a Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce post today!
1. Last time you drove/flew 500 miles (ish)? What’s a place you’d like to visit that lies approximately 500 miles from your current location?
My last trip was to Florida over winter break and that appears to be more than 1000 miles from here! So I had to do a search and see what is about 500 miles from me. My options seem to be Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Dallas, Nashville, and Indianapolis. I have been to all of those places but none very recently! I would most like to revisit Chicago.
2. Tell us about a time recently it felt like you were ‘racing against the clock’.
Part of my morning routine involves trying to get things done before 11 AM…it hasn’t been happening this week because I’m working on two big projects that take up my time and have me running behind by a lot!
3. Have you ever attended any really large sporting events? What was your impression of the experience? The Superbowl, The Kentucky Derby, The World Series, FIFA World Cup, The Indianapolis 500, The Daytona 500, The Olympics, The Masters, Wimbledon, The Boston Marathon, March Madness, Tour de France, Monaco’s Grand Prix, The Open (golf), The Ryder Cup, The Stanley Cup Finals..of the events listed which would you most like to attend in person? Or maybe one that’s not listed?
I’ve been to professional baseball, football, hockey, and basketball games. Just regular season games though, no playoffs or championships! I enjoy seeing games in person. I would have liked to go to the Superbowl this year for sure and I’d like to attend an Olympics event!
4. Are you an iced tea drinker? If so, do you drink it year round, or only in the spring and summer months? Do you make your own or buy it bottled? Sweet or unsweet? Flavored? Lemon or no lemon? How about a Long Island Iced Tea?
I don’t drink too much iced tea. I have been a fan of Arizona but it’s so sweet and therefore has too much sugar. I do like Long Island Iced Tea but haven’t had it in awhile!
5. April 20th is Volunteer Recognition Day…do you volunteer in some way? Tell us about it. If not, tell us about a volunteer you appreciate.
I volunteer by walking shelter dogs, although today is my first day back in awhile. I am part of the parent group for Gabbie’s dance team and one of the projects I’m working on now is the team’s end of the year book – it involves organizing lots of photos! I do a bit of volunteering through my synagogue as well. I am currently in a mode of saying no to things I’m asked to do there though. I really prefer things that are more behind the scenes.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Besides Gabbie’s dance team’s end of the year book I’m also editing photos I took at our friend’s bar mitzvah. I took 300 pictures so it’s taking awhile! I’m happy that some seem to have come out well, and I hope my friend likes them!
Tell me your answer to any of these!
