For today’s Random Friday Things post I don’t have that much to share! The boys were on spring break for the first two weeks of the month, so just a little about that.
Even though they were off for two weeks, a lot of the break was for the Passover holiday, so on those days we spent time both at home and with friends. The boys also hung out with their friends most days, and one of Gabbie’s friends was in town so she saw her a few times too.
We had some nicer spring weather and we were watching Duncan and Ozzie so we took them for a walk at the park. They even went in the small dog area at the dog park for a few minutes. They were the only dogs in there and they ran around a bit and then came back.
The boys wanted to go biking with their friends, but on the day they could all go, it was pouring rain. The trails at that park were still closed the next day, but they found another park to go to just the two of them and it made me happy that they were willing to hang out together and even took a photo together to send to their friends!
One of the nights of the holiday, our friend knocked on our door and said she found a dog outside on our block. Since we’re dog people, she wanted to know if we had a leash (we don’t, but we should!) or if we knew the dog. At first I said I didn’t know the dog and we involved another neighbor who had a leash and tried calling animal control, but it was late and they were closed. After about 10 minutes, I suddenly realized I do know the dog! Gabbie, Zachary, and our friend went to the house where I said the dog lives and found the owner outside looking for her! I love reuniting lost dogs with their families.
This week it’s been back to school for all!
