Today’s topic on the Top Ten Tuesday topic list is Series I’d Like to Start/Catch up on/Finish, so I thought I’d look back on the books I read this year that are part of a series. I will tell you if I’ve finished the series or if I want to continue the series or go back and read books I missed in the series, etc.
Title: As Good As Dead

Source: Publisher / Book Swap
Why I Read It: Sent to me for my review / Loved the previous 2
My Rating: 4 Stars
This was the third book in the A Good Girls’ Guide to Murder series and it is now complete. I didn’t love the conclusion and wish there was another one! But I will definitely be reading the new one by this author!
Title: Noelle: The Mean Girl
Author: Ashley Woodfolk
Genre: YA
Publisher: Listening Library, 3/9/21
Source: Library Audio / Publisher via Net Galley
Why I Read It: Working on Net Galley Reads
My Rating: 3.5 Stars (rounded down to 3)
This was the third book in the Flyy Girls series. I think there are more after this one but I decided to stop reading this series as it started to feel too young for me.

Author: Elle Cosimano
Genre: Mystery
Publisher: Minotaur, 2/1/22
Source: Publisher via Net Galley

Title: The Heart Principle
Author: Helen Hoang
Genre: Rom Com / Contemporary
Publisher: Berkley, 8/31/21
Source: Publisher
Why I Read It: TBR
My Rating: 5 Stars
The Heart Principle was the third book in The Kiss Quotient series. This one is more of a contemporary fiction than a cookie cutter rom com, which I know upset some readers. I appreciated this story though, and really loved the book overall.
Title: A Brush With Love & Lizzie Blake’s Best Mistake
Author: Mazey Eddings
Genre: Rom Com
Publisher: St. Martin’s Griffin, 3/1/22 & 9/6/22
Source: Publisher via Net Galley
Why I Read It: Sent to me for my review
My Rating: 4 Stars
I read these two books from Mazey Eddings this year and thought both were good. These are the type of romance books that feature a different person from the same group of friends but the first person appears in the other books as well. I may or may not continue this one.
Title: Hang The Moon & Count Your Lucky Stars
Author: Alexandria Bellefleur
Genre: Rom Com
Publisher: Avon, 5/25/21 & 2/1/22

Why I Read It: TBR
My Rating: 4 Stars
These are the 2nd and 3rd books in the Written In The Stars series. These are fun reads but I think I liked the first one better than these next two! I think the 3rd was the end of the series, but I would possibly read more from the author in the future.

This is the 17th book in the Hercule Poirot series and the only one that I’ve read! I do have more books by Agatha Christie but they are from the Miss Marple series! So I am not sure if or when I will read more from this series.
Title: Dating Dr. Dil

Genre: Rom Com
Publisher: Avon, 3/15/22

Author: Jesse Q Sutanto
Genre: Contemporary Fiction
Publisher: Berkley, 3/29/22
Source: Publisher via Net Galley
Why I Read It: Sent to me for my review
My Rating: 4 Stars
This was the sequel to Dial A For Aunties, which I enjoyed more than this one, but I think I would read anything by Jesse Q Sutanto (and I’ve read her YA books as well) so I would read more in this series if more come out!

Genre: Rom Com Novella
Publisher: Penguin Audio, 4/5/22

Title: Luck and Last Resorts
Author: Sarah Grunder Ruiz
Genre: Rom Com
Publisher: Berkley, 8/9/22
Source: Publisher
Why I Read It: Sent to me for my review
My Rating: 5 Stars
The second book in the series that started with Love, Lists, and Fancy Ships. I loved both of the books in the series and would definitely read more of them!
Okay, I think that’s enough. I did read a few more books this year that were part of series, but I’m tired of looking them up – sorry!
Have you read any of these and will you continue the series if it isn’t finished?
