Last week, Gabbie had two performances with the dance team. The first was the school district Marching Fest, where each band and drill team perform. The second was a Thursday night football game. I did my best to get pictures to share here!
Marching Fest
They announced Gabbie as the senior captain of the dance team and I cheered loudly, hence her smile!
The show is about a puppet master and the dance team starts out by acting like puppets. Simon was videoing and he said “oh no, Gabbie died.” It’s funny because it’s on the video.
Football Game
At football games, the band and drill team do this same show at halftime, but they also perform prior to the game as the pre game show.
During the 1st quarter, the team dances on the sidelines.
Time for the Halftime Show!
Apparently the band messed up, but I couldn’t tell because I was too busy watching Gabbie. They have the third quarter off and then they do Sidelines again for the 4th quarter. The team was doing really bad so luckily they let the last quarter go by quickly! We were sitting closer which is why the pictures have better lighting.
At the end of the game, they sing the school song.
One more football game this season and it’s senior night!
