Here’s a question that we wondered about – was the American Dream Mall worth a visit if we didn’t plan to pay for any of the major attractions there? American Dream is similar to the Mall of America in that it is full of way more than a regular mall – with a water park, a theme park, mini golf, an ice rink, and even a ski slope, you could probably spend a week there and not do it all. We just decided to visit for a few hours, walk around, and check it out.
If you’ve been to NJ over the past 20 years or so, you may remember the eye sore that was located off the NJ Turnpike, rumored to become a place called Xanadu, which never opened. This building eventually became American Dream, which opened in 2019. Here are some of the things inside the mall.
A replica of the car from Back To The Future.
Angry Birds Mini Golf.
Cinnabun.
It’Sugar was a big attraction where I took a lot of candy pictures!
And we watched the ice skaters a little bit.
Also – you can go inside the ski shop and see the indoor ski slope through a window. It was fun to watch for a little while!
So, without paying for any of the attractions, visiting American Dream Mall was still entertaining!
