View PostLast week, on Wednesday night and Thursday, we celebrated the Purim holiday. Purim celebrates the story of Queen Esther, who saved the Jewish people from annihilation by the decree of Haman, who was an advisor to the king. As part of the Purim celebration, people dress in costume, and we are commanded to hear the story of Esther, give out gifts of food, give charity, and partake in a festive meal.
View PostThe American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recently announced an update to their recommendations on water safety and preventing the drowning of children. Drowning is the number 1 cause of unintentional injury related deaths of children ages 1-4. The second age group at highest risk of drowning deaths is teens, according to the AAP. Every year, about 370 children ages 10 to 19 drown. “Adolescents can be overconfident in their swimming abilities and are more likely to combine alcohol use with swimming – compounding their risk significantly.” Drowning is the third leading cause of unintentional injury-related death among children ages 5-19 years.

Every time a new season rolls around and I think about making a bucket list, I always feel like I’m repeating myself from past years, because we like to do a lot of the same things each year. I thought this year I would do something different, and instead make a list of things anyone and everyone can do this spring. If you like my ideas, you can pin my list and check them off as you go!

Southwest is different from a lot of the typical airlines and I feel like the only way people find out how Southwest works is from friends who have flown them before.
