It’s here – the birthday Simon has been waiting his whole life for! His driver’s license test is this morning and here’s hoping all will go well. In honor of his birthday, here’s a look back at his year.
Last August, Simon turned 15, went go-karting, said goodbye to Gabbie when she left for school, and started 10th grade.

In September, he spent time with his friends and said goodbye to Zachary as he left for Israel.

In October, he didn’t come with us when we went to his 2nd cousin’s wedding but instead went to his fall youth group weekend.

In November, we went to NJ for Thanksgiving.

We also took Gabbie back to school and saw her apartment.

In December, we went to a Chiefs game. Then, we headed to Florida. From there it was back to NY for a friend’s wedding.

In January, Simon built a boat and paddled it in the pool. He also saw Lightning McQueen.

In February, he took part in a celebration at school for a new Torah. And Gabbie came home for a visit.

In March, we celebrated Purim.

In April, we went to Israel to see Zachary, celebrate Passover, and attend a wedding!

In May, Simon was in the high school play and he finished 10th grade.

In June, he went camping with his friends, got a new bike, and left for his summer trip to Europe and Israel.

He was away for all of July! Here his is with his baby cousin.

And when he returned:

In August, we’ve been spending time together, or at least trying to. Simon is working a bit now, and getting ready to start 11th grade!

Plus, he spent time with his friends before his very good friend leaves for Israel.

Simon had a great year – here’s to the next!
