Kansas City has a new children’s museum called The Rabbit Hole. It is all about children’s literature, so even though it’s meant for younger kids, Gabbie and I visited and had a fun time seeing the displays of books that are brought to life. Only one floor is open so far with plans for the museum to be three full floors!
You first enter the museum through a tunnel which I thought might be a little scary for younger kids, because it’s somewhat dark! It also might be a fun place to play.
Just a book I loved – this room was set up with books by Black authors.
Madeline
Bread and Jam for Frances
Strega Nona
Where the Sidewalk Ends
I didn’t recognize this one but I think it is from Sam and The Tigers. I just liked how it looked!
Blueberries for Sal
No, David
Harry The Dirty Dog
The Tawny Scrawny Lion
Goodnight Moon – I was excited to see this room because I always thought a Goodnight Moon room would be so fun! (a kid put the weird looking doll on the bowl full of mush table!)
There is also a children’s bookstore to visit once you are done at the museum!
Do you remember any of these books from your childhood?
