It’s my birthday month, so it’s my turn on my book birthday gift group – people buy off my Amazon book wishlist and I get packages! I’ve received four books so far, one which I already read on audio but wanted the print copy!
[looking forward to]
I hate to say it, but I’m looking forward to when the dog I’m watching goes back home. He is cute, but he whines a LOT. He wakes up early and whines so that no one can sleep. He whines till I pick him up and then he whines to be put back down. He goes home tomorrow. But then on Friday, I start a long stay for my two regulars, one who is wonderful and one who is old and has a lot of accidents in the house. I wonder which is better, cleaning up after him or listening to a sad dog whining? Oh, and while those two are here, for part of the time their friend is going to come too – I have watched them together before so I’m not worried about that, but I do hope he has gotten over his constant high pitched barking!

Mainly just coffee. Which is one of my favorite smells.
[preparing for]
It’s that time again – parent / teacher conferences. I dread it because I always end up crying. I feel like Simon is doing better, but it could be because he hasn’t had any big tests or projects yet this year! He has a research paper that he is currently supposed to be working on. I am unable to get it across to him that he can’t wait to the last minute to work on assignments like that.
[thankful for]
I’m thankful it has finally cooled off here. I took out my winter coat but don’t need it all the time. I’m thankful when my preschool kids are cute and not difficult. I’m thankful I don’t have to work on my birthday because they are off that day! I’m thankful for time with friends.
