It’s time for my look back at 2024 in reading, books read, and favorite books! When you read as much as I do, it is hard to narrow down favorites, so I always start with a complete list of the books I loved and continue on from there.
Here is a look at my year in reading stats:
This year I read 274 books. This is more than I read in 2023, but less than 2022.
I read the most in February, with 28 books.
I read the least in August, with 18 books.
My highest read genre, as usual, was contemporary fiction.
My next most read genres were rom coms, thrillers, non-fiction, and historical fiction.
I read 78% of my books in print, 22% on audio, and 0% on my kindle (I read 1 book on it).
My average days per book is 3.3.
My fiction vs non-fiction ratio was 86% fiction and 14% non-fiction.
Approximately 73% of my books were adult books while 12% was middle grade and 14% was YA.
My books by authors of color went down to 13% of my total reads but my Jewish author percentage was 20%.
My highest percentage of books receive a 4 star rating.
I had 80 5 star books this year.
I completed my list of books that I acquired in 2020.
I did not finish a total of 9 books.
My shortest book was One Night, Two Holidays by Ali Brady and my longest was Here One Moment by Liane Moriarty.
These are the books that I labeled my top books each month:
