Today I’m linking up with Marsha for the 10 on the 10th link up. This month’s topic is Things I Love – as well as things I don’t!
1. Tell us about a color you love to wear. Now, tell us about a color you wouldn’t wear for a million dollars!
I wear a lot of greys and blacks. Pretty much neutral. Though I do like my t-shirts in a variety of colors! For a million dollars I might wear anything, but my least preferred would be something that stands out too much – like fluorescent green.
2. Share a food you loved as a kid, but now you wouldn’t touch with a 10 foot pole!
I feel like it’s usually the opposite – kids won’t eat things that later they start to like! I’m not sure there are things I used to like that I don’t now, but when I was a kid I used to like buying school lunches and I definitely wouldn’t do that today.
3. Is there something you loved to wear once upon a time, but now you wouldn’t wear to your worst enemies wedding?
Bangs. Puffy ones. Or whatever was in style in the 90s – neon tops and jeans tucked into a double layer of socks. Isn’t the 90s coming back though? Ha.
4. Spill the tea! What is the flower you want your significant other to buy you? What flower had better never grace your doorstep?
I don’t think I feel that strongly about flowers that there are any that I wouldn’t want! Unless of course they give off a bad smell or are poisonous to the touch?!
5. When you were a kid, was there a food you absolutely detested, but now you just can’t get enough of it?
As a kid I didn’t like peanut butter. Now, I love Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. That counts, right?
6. Share a book you love, reread, or tell others about. Now, let’s hear about a book you wish had never been written!
A book I recommend to everyone is 11/22/63 by Stephen King. It’s long but really good! I haven’t reread it, but I would if I had the time. A book I couldn’t stand was Eat, Pray, Love. It’s so full of privilege and entitlement.
7. Tell us about something your significant other does that makes you go “Awww.” But what does he / she / they do that drives you up a wall?
My love language is acts of service, so I’m always happy when my husband washes the dishes or does the food shopping or otherwise. It annoys me when he is indecisive or asks my opinion but makes his own decision anyway.
8. Time to spill the tea again! What piece of clothing do you love and cherish? What piece of clothing will never ever be in your wardrobe again?
I love my new joggers. I will never again wear a body suit.
9. Share the holiday you would celebrate often, even every day if you could! Which holiday would you never celebrate again if you had the choice?
I suppose any holiday could be ruined by celebrating it too often! I do celebrate the Jewish sabbath once a week, which I like! I would not want to observe Yom Kippur anymore, as it is hard to skip eating and drinking all day!
10. Tell us about the modern technological device you would fight your sister for. But which device would you toss out the window happily?
I don’t have a sister! But I would fight my kids for my phone, I suppose! I’m not sure if I’d toss any technology, unless it doesn’t work right!
What do you think about any of these?
