Today I’m linking up with Leslie for her 10 on the 10th link up. This month’s topic is 10 Questions About Love. Leslie provided us with 10 questions to answer and here they are:
1. How romantic are you? What is a romantic gesture you have made in the past?
I’m not sure I’ve very romantic at all! What would being romantic mean? Planning a date? Gosh. I do remember when I first told my husband I loved him, that was kind of romantic in a way. I had this list of top things to do at our university and one of them was fall in love, so I showed him that I could now cross that one off.
2. What’s the best relationship advice? Is it something you’ve learned or advice that was given to you?
You’d think after 20 years of marriage I’d have something more unique. I guess just supporting each other’s interests and making time for one another is helpful! I have learned that it is important to talk to each other and not only focus on the kids!
3. When did you give your first kiss? How did you feel about it? At what age did you begin dating?
I was in high school. I was happy about it. I wouldn’t say I really “dated,” but I had a boyfriend from a young age, which I now regret.
4. What makes a relationship healthy?
Respecting each other, communication, the ability to be honest with each other.
5. What’s your love language? What is your partner’s or best friends? You can find out here.
Mine is Acts of Service. I posted about this a few years back! I asked my husband what he thought his was and I don’t remember what he said. See, I’m not very romantic. I would guess his is Quality Time though!
6. Who is one couple you know that you admire in terms of love?
My in-laws, who have been married for 56 years.
7. Who is your favorite celebrity or fictional couple?
The Obamas.
8. Name a flavor or food you love. A scent you love. An activity you love doing?
Sweet, cinnamon, reading.
9. Do you believe in love at first sight? Do you think people are made for each other as in soul mates?
I don’t believe in love at first sight, but I do believe in soul mates!
10. In a Covid-free world where money is no object, what would you like to do for Valentine’s Day weekend?
We actually don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day, but if I could spend this weekend in an amazing way, I’d want to travel somewhere warm. It is going to be negative degrees here on the weekend! I would probably like to go to Disney World, with my kids as well!
What are some of your answers to these questions?
